The Frontier team is a collection of individuals passionate about this new and rapidly expanding sector. As early movers into the cleantech sector, we see the contribution new companies can make to our economies and the global environment.

Sebastian Foot, Director
Sebastian has a seven-year track record in the carbon markets. Prior to forming Frontier he worked with Carbon Capital Markets, a principal carbon trader and fund manager, to provide depth to the newly established carbon assets team. During this period, he focused on fund development, executing corporate strategy, including capital raising, carbon project development and overseas business development. Specifically, he managed the development of carbon assets for the ‘China Methane Recovery Fund’ (€400 million) with an investment focus on coal mine methane destruction to energy projects on behalf of MAN Group. Sebastian provided carbon advisory services to the ‘Carbon Assets Fund’ (€40 million) for Carbon Capital Markets with carbon assets in Brazil, Mexico, Ukraine, the Philippines and West Africa. He was also a lead advisor for a recommended takeover bid for a €200 million FTSE listed carbon asset manager.

Previously, Sebastian was a Senior Consultant with ICF International, a global consulting company, where he provided expertise in the carbon finance area to numerous Fortune 500 companies. Specifically, he advised AMN AMRO on the successful listing of EcoSecurities on the FTSE Alternative Investment Market.

Jennifer, Non-Executive Director, Asia-Pacific
Jennifer has a track record of 20 years experience in the energy, renewable and carbon markets. Jennifer is a highly respected specialist in environmental markets and is a thought leader in sustainability strategy and low carbon product solutions.

Jennifer commenced her career in the Utilities Sector. During this time Jennifer developed and managed derivative operations for Southern Hydro Partnership (A hydro generator) and Edison Mission Energy (Coal/gas generation company) It was 13 years ago at Southern Hydro that Jennifer executed her first green energy transaction.

In 2001 Jennifer moved to the Banking Industry as the Director, Electricity, Renewable and Emissions at ANZ Bank, one of Australia’s largest banks. At ANZ she established the electricity, renewable and carbon sales business. ANZ had a strong focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and was awarded as the Most Sustainable Bank in the World as rated by the Sustainability Dow Jones Index during 2007 and 2008. Jennifer assisted customers in Australia and abroad in managing their carbon and renewable risks and identifying opportunities that existed with a global move towards a lower carbon economy.

Jennifer left ANZ this year and is consulting to a number of large corporations, government departments and green companies in the fields of the Australian Renewable Energy Target and the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme.

Jennifer is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, CPA, Bachelor of Business & Diploma in Financial Services.


Tracy Elner, Non-Executive Director
Tracy holds a BSc Eng in Metallurgy and Materials Science from London University and began his career with Rolls Royce aerospace in 1985, developing hi-tech super alloys for the aerospace and power turbine sector.

During his twenty two year career he has worked for and consulted to a number of groups, including; Teledyne Corporation, the Peruvian government’s state mining group, Minpeco, Banesto Bank’s Asturiana de Zinc and the EBRD; in the commodity and energy, trading sector.

In 1994, as general manager of Samsung Corporation’s (London) Natural Resources group he assisted the establishment of the raw material supply, marketing and price mitigation of the Kazakhstan copper asset, floated as the FTSE 100 company Kazakhmys.

Over the last ten years, Islamic banking has become his major business focuses, primarily for structured trade finance.and more recently the carbon /renewables sector. He has successfully established a joint UK-Bahrain operation, Fajr Investment Advisory BSC(c), which provides a platform to originate, finance and manage such projects as part of the new energy infrastructure paradigm, occurring both in the region and globally.

Tracy is a selected member of the City of London’s delegation vists to GCC/MENA, Malaysia and China covering London’s role in the Islamic banking, carbon emissions and commodity trading sectors. He has also been involved in assisting the UK government’s Islamic Finance Advisory Working Group through British Expertise, a UK non profit making organization which advances British companies’ oversees business relationships and opportunities.
